Project Manager (Van Nuys)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Manages the daily operational and tactical aspects of large-scale or multiple projects
  • Improves communication between groups or departments when working on projects together
  • Ensures all projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Mitigates risks and manages scopes across multiple projects
  • Helps all departments and teams develop and set realistic goals
  • Provides independent advice on the management of projects
  • Recruits specialists and sub-contractors
  • Monitors sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained
  • Addresses elevated billing issues when they arise
  • Manages and achieves revenue goals set for projects
  • Be the driving force in the development of the work ethic, culture and values of the sales and business development group
  • Plans areas of improvement and development
  • Organizes the various professional people working on a project
  • Reviews high-level deliverables across projects
  • Confronts issues openly and quickly and handles difficult personnel situations directly
  • Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures accurate accounting, invoicing, costing and billing

  • Teamwork:   You must work across practice and evoke innovative and creative thinking from team members while helping them to bring their ideas and career plans to fruition.


  • Time Management: You have to manage your time in dealing and managing employees, customers and management.


  • Budgeting & Numerate Skills: You are expected to keep and maintain a budget in almost every field. You need to have the ability to use numbers and think mathematically to analyze numerical trends and to create schedules and budgets.


Other Qualifications are:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a business related field or equivalent training is required
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Diplomacy
  • Commercial awareness
  • Ability to motivate people
