SEO Specialist

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Develops and Implements (SEO) strategies and campaigns that result in top rankings on Google, Yahoo, Bing, AOL and other major search engines
  • Website Analysis- Reviews and analyzes client websites for areas that need to be improved, modified and deleted
  • Keyword Research, Analysis and SEO Copywriting - Conducts keyword research and SEO writing based on best practices
  • Identifies the least expensive but most profitable and powerful keywords for client sites
  • Serves an effective liaison between various departments, clients and contractors.
  • Executes tests, collects and analyzes data, identifies trends &insights in order to provide the best SEO results to clients
  • Performs white hat and SEO-friendly tactics so as not to violate Search Engine Guidelines.
  • Performs ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
  • Recommends suggestions and modifications to website creation, links, contents and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords
  • Finds and strategizes ways to improve and track site performance.
  • Develops and implement link building strategy
  • Independently seeks and looks for current SEO methodologies and updates in order to broaden SEO skill set
  • Consults and works with project leaders, copywriters, researchers, web developers and designers to improve the website and to enhance its search engine ranking
  • Collects all site’s relevant performance metrics and generates user-friendly reports for clients on a monthly basis 

 

Desired Skills and Experience

This position requires an innovative, results-driven and highly motivated individual with in depth knowledge and experience in Search Engine Optimization. The best prospect is likely to be for individual with a degree and a minimum of one to three years of web experience and relevant certification. In addition, the preferred candidate must be/have:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent within appropriate digital marketing
  • Solid understanding of online customer acquisition, conversion and performance marketing
  • Proven track record in effectively optimizing sites and achieving top search rankings
  • In-depth experience and knowledge with Google Analytics, and other website analytics tools.
  • Knowledgeable of CSS, HTML, JavaScript development, programming language and blogging
  • Up to date with the latest trends  and practices in SEO and ability to apply the new trends on the company’s SEO/digital marketing strategies
  • Knowledgeable about the “language of SEO,” and has the ability to explain the concepts to clients in a manner that is meaningful to their business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An Analytical thinker. Able to readily formulate solutions when problems arise
